Part One:
Ingredients
- 500gm lean Beef Mince
- 500gm lean Pork mince
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp Chef Dales Meat & Chicken Blend lightly toasted in olive oil
- 1 red onion finely chopped
- 4 tbsp smokey BBQ sauce or tomato sauce
- 100gm Blue cheese crumbled
Method
- Place in a large mixing bowl, beef mince, pork mince, crumbs and egg. Sauté onion in olive oil then lightly toast spice blend until fragrant
- Add onion and spice blend to the mince mixture followed by BBQ sauce and cheese. The secret to a great burger is throughly mixing all the raw ingredients together
- Form eight burgers patties then store them covered in the fridge to rest for 20 minutes allowing all the flavour to develop fully
- To cook, lightly brush burgers with olive oil and cook for 3 to 5 minutes per side for just pink in the middle
Serve on a lightly toasted brioche bun with a chutney of your choice.
