The Juicy Movement

Hello to all The Herdsman locals! I am so excited to be a part of the Herdsman family – especially since I spent many times in there grabbing produce with my friends in my late teens and early twenties who lived close by.

Let me start by introducing myself to you…

As a holistic counsellor, with a focus on mind-body health, my motivation and inspiration is helping people make positive changes to their lives through the key principles of wholefood nutrition and ongoing wellbeing.

Drawing on my own past health issues, which started as a teenager and continued for many years, I’m aware of how bad habits such as radical dieting and over-analysing your body and overall appearance can affect your long-term relationship with food and be a barrier to pursuing a better, healthier lifestyle.

My path to better health started in 2009 at age 22 when a trainer at a gym where I worked introduced me to a more holistic approach to eating that focused on fermented foods, coconut oil and wholefoods.

About the same time the universe also led me to a course on Holistic Counselling and Mind-Body Medicine at Endeavour College. I went along to their open day and it hit me that “this course is just what I’m looking for”.  I knew it was what I wanted to do.

My friend Natalie Baldock invited me to a wellness talk, which was the start of my association with Juice Plus+. Listening to an ironman and trainer speak passionately about the power of plants, it was the first time I had heard someone really address the question: “Why are we depending on poor food and supplement choices when we just need more fruit and veg?”

Thanks to my studies, and starting to take Juice Plus+, it was impossible to continue my old lifestyle. It also made me realise how much I want to help others.

Since I made the decision in 2012 to work full-time in my passion, I have gone on to become involved in Sarah Wilson’s “I Quit Sugar” movement, where I continue as an expert today, and I now speak regularly to audiences in Australia and overseas about health and wellness.

I truly believe every single person has the ability to live their best life each and every day if they are willing to make the leap. That is how I coach – with a focus on healthy daily rituals and, what’s especially close to my heart, wholefood nutrition and Juice Plus+.

It’s also what led me to write my first book, The Juicy Movement: A Holistic Approach To Clean Living

Respecting the power of wholefoods and the essential role they play in our overall health, this book focuses on fuelling the wellness of our mind, body and soul. It features the healthy philosophies and every day principle and routines, alongside a beautiful collection of easy to execute nutrient-loaded recipes, The Juicy Movement is more than just a recipe book for readers. It’s the first step in adopting a holistic approach to clean living.
